April 2026 Ministry News Update – Kupang, Indonesia
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The month of April was a very meaningful month for our ministry here in Kupang, Indonesia. It was filled with joy, celebration, ministry activities, and also moments of sadness and responsibility as we continue serving God and caring for His people.
From March 18th–21st, 2026, we conducted a baptism class for our young new converts at the church. During these sessions, we taught them about salvation, repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and the meaning of water baptism. It was encouraging to see these young people hungry to grow spiritually and publicly declare their faith in Christ.
On Good Friday, April 3rd, during our church service, we held a special water baptism service at the poolside. We thank God that four of our youths were baptized as a public testimony of their commitment to follow Jesus Christ. This was a joyful and emotional moment for the church family. These newly baptized believers also joined the Holy Communion service on Sunday, April 5th, as part of the body of Christ.
On Monday, April 6th, the city of Kupang, the capital of Nusa Tenggara Timur Province, held a great Jesus Parade along the main streets of the city. The event began around 12 noon and continued until approximately 4:30–5:00 Am In the morning, we gathered along one section of the road to watch the parade. Many trucks carrying worship bands filled the streets with songs of praise and worship to God. The atmosphere was full of joy as believers from many churches united together declaring the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ, who died and rose again. It was a powerful testimony of faith and unity in our city.
Toward the end of the month, on Tuesday, April 28th, our family traveled to Rote Island to attend the wedding of two of our youths, Deddy Ujulomi and Acsa Aplugi. My wife and I were honored to serve as witnesses for their wedding ceremony. We spent three days there celebrating together with their families and encouraging the young couple as they begin their new life together.
However, while we were still in Rote on April 30th, we received sad news that one of our church congregation members, the late Hermanus Haning, had passed away. The next day, we departed from Rote and returned to Kupang. As soon as we arrived at the wharf, we immediately went to meet the grieving family and helped organize the funeral arrangements for the burial service the following day.
Serving as a pastor carries many responsibilities. Sometimes the burden feels heavy as we care for the spiritual lives of children, youths, adults, and the elderly. Every soul is valuable before God, and pastors carry the responsibility to guide and nurture them in their spiritual journey with Christ.
We continue to trust God for strength, wisdom, and grace as we fulfill His divine purpose on this earth. Thank you to all our families, friends, supporters, and prayer partners who continue standing with us in this mission field.
Please continue to pray for our ministry, our church members, and our family as we serve the Lord here in Kupang, Indonesia.

May 2026 Ministry News Update – Kupang, Indonesia
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The month of May was truly amazing for our family and ministry here in Kupang, Indonesia. God continued to show His faithfulness and goodness in many ways throughout this month.
One special blessing was the weather. Usually around this time of the year, we no longer receive much rainfall, but this year we continued to receive rain during May. We thank God for His provision upon the land and for refreshing our region with rain.
As a ministry, we continued accelerating our day-to-day church and mission activities. On Friday, May 14th, during the celebration of Ascension Day, our church decided to hold our worship service outside the church building. We gathered together at a private pool area in Paumata with our church members and families. Many other people were also present in the area, and because we used a sound system, everyone around that location could hear our praise, worship, testimonies, and the preaching of the Word of God. It became a wonderful opportunity to publicly share the Gospel and glorify Jesus Christ. During this fellowship, we were also able to raise funds to support upcoming ministry activities.
The following day, May 15th, we began ten days of fasting and prayer at the church. From May 15th to May 24th, believers gathered together seeking God in unity, worship, repentance, and intercession. We witnessed the presence of the Holy Spirit move powerfully during these prayer meetings. We were also encouraged that several people from the Presbyterian Church joined us throughout the ten days of fasting and prayer. It was a beautiful picture of unity in the Body of Christ as believers came together to seek God.
On Sunday evening, May 24th, we concluded the fasting and prayer gathering with thanksgiving and celebration. On that same day, I also celebrated my 50th birthday. I am deeply grateful to God for His faithfulness over my life, my family, and the ministry He has entrusted to us. Truly, God has been very good to us.
As we move forward, we are now praying and preparing for our upcoming missions event that will be held on July 2nd and 3rd in Kolbano. We are currently raising funds and organizing preparations for this important outreach gathering. We are expecting approximately 45 pastors to attend this event. We believe this gathering will strengthen pastors, encourage churches, and expand the work of the Gospel in remote areas.
Recently, I was praying and asking God for provision to hire a vehicle so I could travel to the remote mission location for preparation visits. God answered that prayer in a wonderful way. The Lord touched the heart of a man who willingly offered his vehicle for me to use to travel and visit the event location. We thank God for His miraculous provision and for people who are willing to support the work of God in the ministry.
We are also excited that our youths will host a combined youth church service on June 19th, 2026. We fully support this program because we believe the youths are the backbone and future of the church. We pray that this gathering will encourage many young people to grow strong in their faith and serve the Lord passionately.
Please continue to pray for us, our family, our church, and the mission work here in Indonesia. If the Lord places it in your heart, we also invite you to support our missions ministry. Please check our “Give” section at the top right and fill in the details if you would like to partner with us in continuing the mission work here in Indonesia.
Thank you for standing with us through your prayers, encouragement, and support.
May God richly bless you all.
